Manager IT (Application Development & Portfolio Management) (Enterprise Applications/Cloud): Leading application delivery, solution architecture, and technology portfolio governance across the Australia business with an accent on Lean Portfolio Management, cloud-native modernization, and enterprise integration. Focus on defining target-state architecture, prioritizing technology investments, managing technology risk and vendors, and developing cross-functional technical teams.
Location: Mascot, New South Wales, Australia; onsite. Applicants must have full, unrestricted work rights in Australia and complete a national police check before starting.

What you will do
- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps and align application and technology portfolios with business strategy.
- Lead demand intake, investment prioritization, capacity management, and value realization through Lean Portfolio Management.
- Define target-state architecture, cloud-native modernization roadmaps, integration standards, APIs, and security controls.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions and report on portfolio health, delivery progress, risks, and business value.
- Manage application lifecycles, technical debt, operational resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and vendor performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop technical and application development teams, including workforce and succession planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of IT experience, including software development and enterprise application delivery.
- 3+ years in people leadership or IT management, with experience managing cross-functional technology teams.
- Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects and strategic initiatives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and systems integration.
- Experience managing vendors and outsourced delivery partners.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing Lean Portfolio Management or SAFe frameworks.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, eCommerce, or large enterprise environments.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, modern engineering practices, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Certifications such as SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager, SAFe Agilist, TOGAF, PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, Microsoft Azure Architect, or AWS Solutions Architect.
