Operations Technician (Industrial Gases)

hirify.global is an industrial gases company developing and operating air separation and liquid hydrogen production facilities.

What you will do

• Operate the La Porte air separation and liquid hydrogen facility according to work instructions and job safety analysis procedures.
• Maintain electronic operating logs and monitor plant conditions using indicators and DCS trends.
• Resolve process upsets in coordination with the console operator.
• Calibrate and operate multiple analyzers and perform preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
• Issue safety work permits, perform lockout/tagout, and inspect work areas for mechanical issues, hazards, and abnormal conditions.
• Maintain training requirements, support procedure updates, and follow plant safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus experience with personal computers or DCS systems.
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, holidays, and call-in coverage.
• Ability to work in a team environment and hold a valid, clean driver’s license.
• Ability to climb ladders and steps, lift at least 50 pounds, work in all weather conditions, and perform elevated work.

Nice to have

• Process Technology certificate or degree.
• Electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and understand piping and instrumentation drawings.
