Salary: $146,000–$204,500 per year, with potential pay up to $233,500 based on sustained performance.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and services supporting product and business outcomes.
• Apply system design, low-level design, API design, data modeling, and scalable data processing to data engineering challenges.
• Develop, test, deploy, and operate production-quality data solutions focused on reliability, performance, maintainability, and security.
• Build automated quality frameworks, data contracts, observability capabilities, and governed data products for traveler interaction data.
• Collaborate with engineers, product partners, analysts, and domain experts to develop effective technical solutions.
• Safely integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions and use data-driven analysis to improve quality, performance, and operational visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines, services, or platforms across multiple services or a defined technical domain.
• Proficiency in data modeling, data processing, software development fundamentals, API design, and system design, including low-level design.
• Experience delivering maintainable, testable, and reliable solutions with knowledge of observability, incident response, performance, and operational excellence.

• Experience designing scalable data architectures across multiple services or broad technical domains.
• Experience improving system reliability, data quality, performance, and operational efficiency through measurable outcomes.
• Experience leading technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and influencing architecture.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled data products, model serving, or AI/ML data workflows.
