Technical Project Management Intern (Aerospace)

Location: San Francisco, United States

Base hourly pay: $29 per hour

Company

Develops, builds, and operates advanced high-orbit satellites and secure satellite communication networks for commercial, government, and military customers.

What you will do

• Support aerospace programs from concept through completion, including internal R&D projects and multi-spacecraft missions.
• Run project risk management, including risk documentation, burndown tracking, and closure approvals.
• Coordinate headcount tracking and forecasting across program activities.
• Organize internal program reviews and track schedule, risk, and key program requirements.
• Work with engineers to develop schedules for spacecraft subsystems and hardware boxes.

Requirements

• B.S. in aerospace engineering or an equivalent technical degree such as physics or applied mathematics.
• Strong internal and external communication skills.
• Strong organization and coordination skills across multiple groups and workstreams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, overcome obstacles, and clearly document tactical plans.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required.

Nice to have

• Leadership in university programs, clubs, or technical projects.
• Space systems or hardware experience.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic data cleansing.
