Senior Commercial Broker, Brokerage Intelligence (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco or Atlanta; the role description also names New York and San Francisco as on-site homes and requires being based in or ready to relocate to one of those offices.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity, commission, and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Encode complex commercial brokerage judgment into workflows, decision standards, playbooks, examples, and escalation rules.
• Partner with product and engineering to define brokerage product requirements and recommend capabilities grounded in expert evidence.
• Build realistic cases, expected outcomes, grading standards, and failure examples to train and evaluate AI systems.
• Design and evaluate workflows for submissions, market selection, negotiation, recommendations, handoffs, and exceptions.
• Create brokerage learning content, worked examples, decision standards, and effectiveness measures with learning and enablement teams.
• Use frontline cases, market responses, and user behavior to identify recurring problems and improve products, processes, and training.

Requirements

• Substantial commercial, wholesale brokerage, or placement experience across complex small and middle-market accounts.
• Experience building submission strategies, negotiating difficult terms, and assessing real commercial insurance outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of general liability, property, workers' compensation, commercial auto, umbrella, and specialty coverage.
• Ability to turn tacit expert judgment into precise instructions, examples, workflows, and reviewable evaluations.
• Ability to teach experienced insurance professionals and communicate insurance practice clearly to product and engineering partners.
• Must be based in New York or San Francisco, or ready to relocate to one of those offices.
