Robot Data Collection Operator, Shift Lead (AI/Robotics)

Location: On-site at the Santa Clara, CA office; applicants must already be within commuting distance. Day shift: 7 AM–3 PM PT or evening shift: 3 PM–11 PM PT, Monday through Friday. Reliable transportation is required.

Salary: $22–$23 per hour. Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

What you will do

• Coordinate day-to-day data collection work during assigned shifts and support teammates as a peer lead.
• Coach teammates, answer questions, escalate issues, and help keep shift operations running smoothly.
• Manipulate robotic arms while completing assigned tasks and collecting accurate, high-quality data for AI and robotics development.
• Create and follow task prompts, troubleshoot execution issues, and improve data quality.
• Explore different scenarios, approaches, and task variations to generate valuable datasets.
• Learn and collaborate with AI, software, test, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrated interest in robotics or engineering through education, personal projects, clubs, or hobbies.
• Experience leading a shift or team, such as shift lead, key holder, peer coach, or trainer, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, collaborate, and communicate effectively.
• Must work onsite in Santa Clara, CA, for a 40-hour-per-week day or evening shift.
• Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Nice to have

• Prior robotics or engineering experience through school projects, personal builds, or clubs such as FIRST, VEX, or Science Olympiad.
