Systems Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote, based in the United States; Raleigh, NC

What you will do

• Prioritize and resolve Level 2–3 tickets and act as an escalation point for complex server, cloud, and network issues.
• Support Azure cloud migrations, including Azure AD/Entra ID configurations, hybrid domain joins, and server-to-cloud transitions.
• Maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, IIS, and related services.
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, access points, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and other network infrastructure.
• Evaluate customer systems and networks, identify performance bottlenecks, and lead remediation efforts.
• Plan and deploy servers, cloud resources, network hardware, and other infrastructure while supporting high availability.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States and have at least 5 years of industry experience, including 2 years in an MSP environment.
• Experience with Exchange and server management, service migrations, virtual machines, Microsoft 365, and GSuite.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, replication, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, Windows Server, and Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Networking experience with firewalls, routing, security policies, NAT, port forwarding, VPNs, VLANs, DHCP, diagnostics, and logging.
• Cisco networking experience, including routing protocols and command-line interface.
• Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment and follow issues through to resolution; familiarity with VoIP applications and AWS deployments.
