SAP S/4HANA FICO Solution Architect (SAP Public Cloud)

Location: Remote from anywhere in Australia; occasional business travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud FICO solution architecture for finance transformation, implementation, and optimisation programs.
• Translate finance strategy, statutory requirements, business processes, and reporting needs into fit-to-standard solution designs.
• Lead client fit-to-standard and design workshops, identify gaps, and recommend standard SAP Public Cloud approaches.
• Design and document finance processes, integrations, configuration principles, migration requirements, and architecture decisions.
• Coordinate with functional, technical, development, testing, and delivery teams across build, testing, cutover, and deployment.
• Support governance, risk management, solution improvement, pre-sales, estimation, and proposal activities.

Requirements

• Strong functional consulting and solution architecture experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance, including hands-on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience.
• Experience leading fit-to-standard workshops, solution design, configuration alignment, scope validation, and gap management.
• Deep knowledge of SAP FICO, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, banking, tax, cost centres, profitability analysis, allocations, and period-end close.
• Knowledge of SAP Public Cloud best practices, standard scope items, extensibility, business configuration, and clean-core principles.
• Experience across the full SAP project lifecycle, including discovery, design, build, testing, migration, cutover, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, commerce, accounting, finance, or equivalent industry experience; relevant SAP certifications are desirable.

• SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Finance, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, or SAP FICO certifications.
• Experience in consulting, project delivery, or managed services environments.
