Software Engineer, Performance Tooling and Infrastructure New Grad (Autonomous Driving)

Base pay: $153,000–$175,000 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain job orchestration for performance benchmarks across physical bench-top robot systems.
• Integrate benchmarking into CI/CD as merge-blocking and release-blocking quality gates.
• Build monitoring, alerting, self-healing automation, and observability for the bench fleet.
• Design data pipelines that capture, process, and visualize CPU/GPU utilization, memory bandwidth, latency, and scheduling metrics.
• Develop statistical experimentation and regression-detection methods for non-deterministic autonomy workloads.
• Guide bare-metal Linux, networking, hardware bring-up, fleet allocation, and platform planning across hardware generations.

Requirements

• Approximately 1+ year of industry software engineering experience.
• Strong Python and working C++ proficiency, with a focus on clean, testable, maintainable code.
• Experience building data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, storage, visualization, SQL, and analytical workflows.
• Strong Linux systems experience, including kernel configuration, boot debugging, systemd, networking, storage, compute, or bare-metal infrastructure.
• Experience setting a technical vision or roadmap and aligning multiple stakeholders.
• Comfort working with AI-native development tools and in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Nice to have

• Performance engineering experience with perf, Perfetto, pprof, eBPF, NVIDIA Nsight Systems, or NVIDIA CUPTI.
• Experience in robotics or autonomous vehicles, especially with the NVIDIA DriveOS stack.
