VP - Director, Client Relations (Equity)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the designated hirify.global office and one day outside the office

What you will do

• Represent the global equities platform in Japan across institutional and intermediary channels.
• Lead client engagement with institutional investors, pension funds, distributors, and intermediaries.
• Drive strategic marketing and capital formation for global equity strategies.
• Provide thought leadership on equity markets, portfolio positioning, macro and sector developments, and benchmark-relative performance.
• Deliver tailored client communications, product training, marketing materials, and investment insights.
• Connect clients, distribution partners, and global investment teams while supporting collaboration across investment, product, compliance, and sales functions.

Requirements

• Senior-level leadership and influence across institutional and retail channels.
• Proven experience in client relationship management with institutional investors, distributors, or intermediaries.
• Strong knowledge of global equity markets, including active and passive strategies, factor investing, ESG integration, and benchmark-driven mandates.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, including performance attribution, portfolio construction, and risk analysis.
• Native-level Japanese and strong business-level English, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor’s degree or above; CFA is strongly preferred.
