Software Engineer (ASP.NET)

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Full-time role with flexible working. An active NV1 Defence Security Clearance or higher is required, along with compliance with ITAR requirements.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and features for Defence platforms, systems, and applications.
• Build high-quality, robust, and scalable software in line with engineering standards and best practices.
• Participate in Agile delivery, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, task decomposition, and estimation.
• Perform and support unit testing, performance testing, and system integration activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and Defence stakeholders across the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• Professional experience with ASP.NET, C#, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Transact-SQL, and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and unit testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Active NV1 Defence Security Clearance or higher is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and the Microsoft software development and testing stack.
• Experience developing applications for Defence networks.
