HR Generalist (AI)

Location: On-site at the Carson HQ four days a week, Los Angeles, California; ongoing US work authorization is required.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

hirify.global is a robotics startup building Physical AI and Factory SuperIntelligence systems for manufacturing through a Robots-as-a-Service model.

What you will do

• Own the employee experience from onboarding through offboarding, including engagement, recognition, internal communications, events, and culture initiatives.
• Run payroll for hourly, salaried, and contractor populations and reconcile benefits enrollment and carrier billing.
• Administer employee leave programs and maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
• Manage multi-state employment compliance, audits, HR policies, investigations, and employee relations matters.
• Own UKG and other HRIS tools, including configuration, reporting, workflow automation, email templates, data integrity, and analytics.
• Use AI and automation tools to improve reporting, audits, onboarding, and repetitive HR workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in HR, people operations, or a similar field.
• 2+ years building company-wide processes from scratch within the same organization and 2+ years in a technology startup or technology company.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state employment compliance, especially California, including hourly, contractor, and salaried classifications.
• Power-user proficiency in UKG, including configuration, reporting, and workflow or email template management.
• Experience owning payroll administration, benefits reconciliation, employee relations, and difficult personnel decisions.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and maintain work authorization throughout employment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience across startup and enterprise environments.
• HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
• Experience with WEX, Ashby, Ethena, ClickUp, Notion, Scribe, Airtable, Slack integrations, or HR automation platforms.
