Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Location: Hybrid, with in-person work at the New York City office in SoHo

Base salary: $180,000–$220,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Lead high-impact, cross-functional mobile initiatives with product, design, and engineering leadership.
• Own and evolve mobile application architecture, performance, accessibility, maintainability, and scalability.
• Define mobile quality, developer experience, design system, and code quality standards.
• Build intuitive cross-platform interfaces with React Native and Expo in partnership with product and design.
• Own mobile releases, including versioning, builds, App Store and Play Store submissions, and post-release monitoring.
• Mentor senior engineers and promote best practices in tooling, testing, CI/CD, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience leading complex frontend projects at scale.
• 3–4 years of deep mobile development experience with Swift or Kotlin.
• 1–2 years of experience with React or React Native.
• Experience shaping mobile architecture and technical strategy for consumer-facing products.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and collaborating across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, and cross-platform interface development.
