Software Engineer (React Native)

Location: Remote, limited to candidates in the greater Salt Lake City metro and Wasatch Front, United States

What you will do

• Build and release React Native mobile features with Expo and TypeScript for operators, technicians, and supervisors.
• Develop hybrid mobile experiences including native screens, biometric authentication, QR-code deep links, and in-app web browsing.
• Own push notification reliability, device registration, alert delivery, monitoring, and collaboration with backend engineers.
• Run mobile release engineering across iOS and Android, including native builds, staged store rollouts, over-the-air updates, CI pipelines, and post-release monitoring.
• Extend automated verification systems for simulators, emulators, and physical devices, including AI-assisted testing and agent-driven workflows.
• Contribute fixes and features to the Python/Django backend and Vue frontend, and use analytics and crash data to prioritize improvements.

Requirements

• Must be located in the greater Salt Lake City metro or Wasatch Front.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production mobile or frontend applications.
• Strong TypeScript and working knowledge of React Native or React; experience shipping Expo or React Native apps to both app stores is preferred.
• Experience with Apple App Store and Google Play releases, staged rollouts, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to work with Python web backends, read unfamiliar code, and build automated testing or developer tooling.
• Clear written communication in an asynchronous, distributed team.

Nice to have

• Experience with device automation, end-to-end testing frameworks, or agentic coding tools.
• Knowledge of push notifications, hybrid WebView applications, authentication flows, or Sentry.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial software, or frontline workforce technology.
