Roadway Engineering Designer (Civil Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead the preparation of detailed design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Develop roadway, multimodal, and intersection designs using engineering judgment.
• Perform advanced design calculations and ensure compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate design activities across multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior designers.
• Support project engineers and managers with quality control reviews, schedule tracking, and design deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
• At least 2 years of Texas transportation engineering design experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
• Successful completion of applicable pre-employment substance screening and background checks.
