Software Engineer II - Critical Email Products (Backend)

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services for Critical Email Products.
• Design and evolve event-driven pipelines using Kafka consumers and Airflow DAGs to process email traffic reliably at enterprise scale.
• Develop across multi-tenant, multi-cloud environments supporting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and FedRAMP deployments.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to explore solutions and deliver reliable production software.
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional partners to develop features that help customers replace legacy email security gateways.
• Improve service reliability, observability, and operational quality as the product surface expands.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Backend development experience with Python or Golang.
• Experience building scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong fundamentals in computer science, data structures, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work remotely from Singapore.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude.
• Experience with event-driven systems, including Kafka, SQS, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with email delivery pipelines, DMARC, DKIM, SPF, or email security products.
• Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS architectures and enterprise integrations such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace APIs.
• Experience improving production reliability, observability, and operational tooling, preferably in cybersecurity, email security, or compliance-related domains.
