Drainage Design Engineer

Location: Hybrid position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, operating between office and field environments

What you will do

• Prepare and review drainage design plans, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and technical reports for roadway, bridge, and culvert projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, drainage modeling, storm sewer and culvert sizing, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs.
• Apply drainage standards, agency guidelines, and environmental requirements to develop accurate, compliant, and constructible designs.
• Use industry-standard modeling software to evaluate system performance, stormwater management solutions, and flood risks.
• Coordinate drainage requirements with roadway, structural, environmental, and other multidisciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing agencies.
• Support quality assurance reviews, agency reviews, plan development, and responses to construction-related field inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–10 years of transportation drainage experience on DOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office and field environment, including occasional exposure to weather, noise, hazards, and bodies of water.
• Ability to perform required physical activities and occasionally operate a company vehicle or handle loads up to 35 pounds.
