Control Systems Engineer (Microgrids)

Location: Field-based role with frequent overnight or out-of-town travel by car or airplane; valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, install, and maintain control systems for BMS facilities, microgrids, machinery, switchgear, and EV control systems.
• Engineer solutions across industrial controls, power controls, protection, and electrical power applications.
• Program PLCs and develop HMI software using CAD, simulation, and microgrid control tools.
• Install and maintain SCADA equipment, PLCs, communication circuits, EMS, IEDs, HMIs, and RTUs.
• Coordinate with project leads, customers, stakeholders, and company personnel to deliver efficient and cost-effective control systems.
• Document work thoroughly, manage multiple priorities, and promote a positive customer experience.

Requirements

• At least seven years of industrial, electrical power-system, or controls design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology from an accredited institution.
• Experience with Protection & Control concepts, including one-lines, three-lines, schematics, wiring, relay logic, and panel or shop drawings.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, SCADA equipment, and communication circuits.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, organization, and teamwork skills; ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel.
