Alternate PM; Inventory and Operations Lead (NOAA APS): Supporting the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of NESDIS projects with an accent on business cases, stakeholder requirements, schedules, risks, and deliverables. Focus on managing time, cost, quality, and changes, developing project management plans, and performing inventory, acquisition, and asset-financial reconciliation.
Location: On-site in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. U.S. citizenship or permanent residence required. Public Trust clearance/suitability, Tier 2, required.

What you will do
- Support the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of NESDIS projects.
- Prepare business cases describing project objectives, purpose, and deliverables.
- Research stakeholder requirements and support goal prioritization, deliverable definition, scheduling, risk identification, and solution development.
- Manage time, cost, quality, risk, and changes across assigned projects.
- Develop project management plans and apply performance measures to monitor project performance.
- Perform UPOR/EBS and property-financial reconciliation, BAS Sunflower research, acquisition, and asset accountability analysis.
Requirements
- Project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residence.
- Public Trust clearance/suitability, Tier 2.
- Experience supporting project planning, stakeholder requirements, schedules, risks, deliverables, and closeout.
- Ability to manage project time, cost, quality, risk, and changes.
