Junior Payroll Consultant (Pensions)

What you will do

• Learn to manage assigned buy-in scheme activities in line with benefit specifications.
• Process pension payment information using internal systems and spreadsheets.
• Complete payment and true-up calculations accurately within agreed timescales.
• Calculate the funding required by pension trustees.
• Respond to internal and external enquiries and keep relevant stakeholders updated.
• Maintain accurate records, filing conventions, and audit trails while developing knowledge of the end-to-end Pension Risk Transfer journey.

Requirements

• Confidence working with data, numbers, and detailed information.
• Basic experience with office applications and willingness to learn new systems.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
• Careful attention to detail and commitment to accurate work.
• Ability to meet deadlines, ask for support when needed, and communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Previous payroll, pensions, or financial services experience is welcome but not required.
