Collector - Skip Trace Agent (Skip Tracing)

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada; on-site role. Remote or hybrid options may be available depending on company policy. Standard office hours apply, with possible nights or weekends for urgent cases.

Salary: $16–$18 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Locate delinquent borrowers and collateral such as vehicles and equipment using skip-tracing databases, public records, and investigative tools.
• Verify addresses, employment, relatives, associates, and other account information.
• Maintain detailed case files documenting contacts, research, and findings.
• Communicate findings to repossession agents and coordinate recovery efforts with collection, recovery, and legal teams.
• Make compliant outbound calls and send emails to references, employers, and known contacts.
• Identify location patterns, maintain productivity and quality metrics, and support skip-tracing software and lead-source updates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in skip tracing, collections, repossession, or a related field.
• Proficiency with skip-tracing tools such as TLOxp, LexisNexis, Clear, or IDI CORE.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, repossession laws, privacy requirements, and related regulations.
• Strong computer research, written and verbal communication, analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with recovery management software such as RDN or DRN.
• Spanish/English bilingual ability.
• Law enforcement, private investigation, or repossession industry experience.
