Associate - Client Onboarding (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; in-office 4 days per week

Base salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year, excluding bonuses and equity.

What you will do

• Manage client onboarding, new account openings, periodic refreshes, maintenance, and offboarding.
• Partner with sales and trading, futures clearing, investment banking, securities finance, trade support, client service, legal, and compliance teams.
• Support institutional clients including hedge funds, asset managers, market makers, proprietary trading firms, and family offices.
• Gather client information, perform initial risk assessments, conduct manual research, and identify issues for escalation.
• Prepare end-to-end KYC reports and help improve onboarding and offboarding processes.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in client onboarding, preferably within equities prime brokerage, futures clearing, or security-based swaps.
• Working knowledge of FINRA and SEC requirements related to customer onboarding.
• Familiarity with AML and KYC requirements for institutional clients, including BSA, the USA PATRIOT Act, and FinCEN regulations.
• Experience assisting with KYC due diligence, information gathering, initial risk assessments, and issue escalation.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams while operating autonomously when needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with screening tools such as World-Check and CLEAR.
• Exposure to periodic KYC refreshes and full end-to-end KYC reporting.
