Senior Database Administrator (MySQL)

What you will do

• Provide operational database services for production environments.
• Support the Cloud Operations team with the migration from MySQL 5.6 to 8.0.43.
• Own database infrastructure design, data flow, performance, availability, and reliability.
• Track and resolve database incidents and service requests within established SLAs.
• Review backup, maintenance, and monitoring reports and respond to database alerts and escalations.
• Work with Development on strategic solutions to recurring database problems and perform production changes.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience administering application database platforms.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database infrastructure and migration.
• Experience with database performance, availability, reliability, backups, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Service-oriented approach with strong ownership of assigned issues and requests.
• Ability to communicate status with technology customers and escalate unresolved issues within established time frames.
