Senior Software Engineer Content Management System (Java)

Location: Hybrid role based near one of hirify.global's US offices in McLean, Virginia; Dallas, Texas; or Memphis, Tennessee. Travel up to 10%.

hirify.global is a global hospitality company with an in-house technology organization developing consumer-facing digital experiences and applications.

What you will do

• Develop and deliver content-driven features for hirify.global.com and other customer-facing applications.
• Customize and extend the Content Management System's built-in capabilities.
• Debug production issues and improve application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests, along with documented, reusable code.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, delivery managers, quality engineers, designers, and developers within an Agile framework.
• Participate in grooming sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional experience in technology or a related field.
• At least three years of experience developing large-scale web applications with Java, microservices, multithreaded programming, and web design patterns.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Couchbase or MongoDB, messaging architectures such as Kafka or Redis, and front-end technologies including React, HTML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools, Docker, and Git in a team development environment.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement near the McLean, Dallas, or Memphis office locations in the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent technology experience through an associate's degree or high school diploma/GED.
• Five or more years of technology experience.
• Content Management System professional certifications.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and applying REST principles.
