IT Business Analyst (Apptio TBM)

Location: Fully remote from approved U.S. states only; international work is not permitted. Remote work is not permitted from California, Washington, New York, and other listed excluded states. No relocation or visa sponsorship is available.

Salary: $35.50–$53.25 per hour

What you will do

• Support Apptio Cost Transparency, Planning, TBM Studio, and related Technology Business Management capabilities through configuration, maintenance, enhancements, issue resolution, and quality controls.
• Manage benchmark and survey activities, including data collection, validation, analysis, and submission for leadership reporting.
• Work with IT consulting partners and business units to define business cases and requirements for technology-related problems.
• Interview stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and technical resources to develop functional requirements.
• Create process mappings that explain complex systems, workflows, and interdependencies.
• Support business relationship management, strategy and planning, portfolio management, and project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Typically three years of experience in information systems, including business applications analysis.
• Hands-on experience configuring and developing models in Apptio TBM Studio.
• Working knowledge of TBM principles, Apptio configuration, cost transparency, planning, reporting, and financial management.
• Strong communication, analytical, documentation, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Must work from one of the approved U.S. states; international work and work from excluded states are not permitted.

Nice to have

• Experience assessing Apptio enhancements, AI insights, automation, and platform features.
• Experience interpreting external industry benchmarks and organizational survey results.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and delegating tasks.
