RF/mmWave Post-Silicon Validation Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Bring up and characterize RF/mmWave silicon, including TX/RX signal chains, LNAs, PAs, mixers, LO generation, PLLs, and RF front ends.
• Develop RF characterization plans across frequency, power, voltage, temperature, process, and operating modes.
• Measure gain, noise figure, output power, compression, linearity, EVM, ACLR, phase noise, spurious performance, harmonics, sensitivity, and dynamic range.
• Build automated RF/mmWave test setups for characterization, regression, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Correlate silicon measurements with RFIC simulations and system models while validating calibration and signal-processing algorithms.
• Debug issues across silicon, package, PCB, firmware, calibration, test equipment, and system behavior, and build RF validation infrastructure from the ground up.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of RF/mmWave silicon validation, characterization, RFIC testing, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of RF transceiver architectures, RF/mmWave circuits, RF measurement techniques, calibration, de-embedding, noise, linearity, modulation quality, and spectral analysis.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment, including vector network analyzers, spectrum and signal analyzers, vector signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, noise-figure analyzers, and phase-noise measurement equipment.
• Experience developing automated characterization environments with Python or similar scripting languages and instrument-control interfaces.
• Access to ITAR-controlled information requires U.S. person status or eligibility for a federally issued export control license.

Nice to have

• Ka-band or higher-frequency mmWave silicon characterization and wideband RF transceiver experience.
• Experience validating digitally assisted RF circuits, calibration algorithms, and modulated waveform performance.
• RF probing, mmWave fixtures, calibration, package/PCB de-embedding, and automated PVT characterization experience.
• Familiarity with high-speed ADC/DAC interfaces, mixed-signal SoCs, SI/PI, RF packaging, antennas, and high-frequency PCBs.
