Engineering Technician C (Aerospace)

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; onsite factory role

Salary: $54,500–$101,500 per year

What you will do

• Prepare electrical, radiometric, and optical test environments for advanced optical-sensing spaceflight hardware.
• Execute test plans and procedures in ambient, vibration, thermal, vacuum, and EMI environments.
• Support the Test Readiness Review process and provide initial reviews of test results.
• Generate technical reports and perform data reduction for requirement verification.
• Document test outcomes and support delivery of aerospace products that meet specifications and production requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, or optical work in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Knowledge of standard electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to execute procedures, document results, communicate clearly, and work with limited supervision.
• Experience with cleanroom environments and ESD- or contamination-sensitive flight hardware is valued.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of high-reliability aerospace product testing and verification.
• Experience with LabVIEW, C++, Python, scripting languages, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Office.
• Current SSBI with polygraph.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work nights, extended shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.
