Business Analyst (IT Modernization)

Location: Onsite in Tallahassee, Florida

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, JAD sessions, interviews, and requirements discussions with executives, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
• Create process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, business rules, business cases, feasibility studies, and executive presentations.
• Support application modernization, remediation, migration, sunset, release management, and change management initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
• Coordinate functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing, including test cases and release readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience in complex IT environments.
• Experience with requirements documentation, business process analysis, process mapping, workflow modeling, gap analysis, business case development, and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and supporting QA, testing, and release readiness.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Experience with data migration, modernization, and system remediation projects.

Nice to have

• Azure DevOps and Power BI experience.
• Knowledge of Florida Rules 60GG-1 through 60GG-5.
• PMP, CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, or ITIL certification.
• Experience with government technology modernization, PMBOK, or project governance.
