Staff Controls Operator (Data Centers)

hirify.global is hiring for a controls operations role supporting live, large-scale data centers.

What you will do

• Operate BMS, SCADA, and EPMS platforms across live data centers.
• Manage real-time electrical loads and thermal controls as sites come online in phases.
• Write operating procedures, alarm-response runbooks, and standardized control sequences.
• Diagnose and resolve onsite controls faults involving chillers, breakers, sensors, and control points.
• Tune control sequences and setpoints to support PUE, reliability, efficiency, and cost targets.
• Identify sensor drift, incorrect setpoints, and other issues before they become incidents.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience operating controls in live mission-critical facilities, data centers, industrial environments, or power systems.
• Experience performing onsite work across controls, electrical, mechanical, or facilities disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of BMS, SCADA, and EPMS platforms, including fault diagnosis and control-system troubleshooting.
• Experience writing operating procedures and alarm-response runbooks for other operators.
• Ability to resolve controls faults under pressure in live environments.
• Experience tuning control sequences and setpoints while balancing reliability, efficiency, and cost.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centers.
• Experience with liquid-cooling controls, electrical power-monitoring systems, and behind-the-meter generation.
• Experience developing controls standards for new data-center fleets.
