Freelance AI Data Project Manager

Location: United States; fully remote

What you will do

• Own delivery team projects, including data quality, timelines, unit economics, and stakeholder transparency.
• Lead virtual cross-functional teams of engineers, supply managers, and other specialists.
• Coordinate client communication, internal operations, planning, status updates, summaries, and retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve project issues and risks proactively.
• Drive team performance and implement process improvements that increase delivery efficiency and adoption.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from discovery through implementation and adoption.
• Client-facing experience and a proven background managing AI projects, teams, or client engagements at scale.
• Good understanding of LLMs and their lifecycle.
• Experience in data generation and the ability to adapt quickly to new domains and subjects.
• Proactive approach to identifying and proposing process improvements.
• Availability to work remotely from the United States for 40 hours per week.
