Facilities Management Intern (MedTech)

Location: Shepherdsville, Kentucky, United States of America; onsite

Internship term: May–August 2027. Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Johnson & Johnson MedTech develops healthcare technologies and treatments, while Engineering & Property Services supports facilities and infrastructure across the organization.

What you will do

• Support site master plans, facility improvement initiatives, and capital project planning.
• Update building drawings, utility maps, and facility documentation using AutoCAD.
• Participate in infrastructure assessments covering HVAC, refrigeration, fire protection, electrical, and building systems.
• Attend project meetings, prepare minutes, track action items, and support follow-up activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors and contribute to workplace improvement, sustainability, and decarbonization projects.
• Support GxP documentation, including change controls, preventive maintenance records, qualification activities, and facility records.

Requirements

• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Completion of undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or civil engineering; facilities management; architecture; construction management; engineering technology; supply chain engineering; or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, plus strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in engineering, facilities management, maintenance, or construction.
• Interest or experience in facility systems, sustainability, energy management, pharmaceutical operations, dashboards, reports, or data analytics.
