Senior Scientist – Quantitative LC-MS Protein Bioanalysis

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and perform quantitative LC-MS assays for endogenous proteins, proteoforms, target-drug complexes, and biomarkers.
• Design bioanalytical strategies to assess target abundance, target engagement, protein turnover, subcellular trafficking, protein-protein interactions, and pharmacodynamic responses.
• Apply mass spectrometry workflows to plasma, tissue, and in vitro biological matrices.
• Develop sample preparation, enrichment, and LC-MS workflows while balancing sensitivity, selectivity, robustness, and turnaround time.
• Troubleshoot assay development, sample preparation, data quality, and LC-MS instrument performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on PK/PD, translational biomarkers, target biology, mechanisms of action, technical reports, and regulatory submissions.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Biology, Proteomics, or a related discipline with strong LC-MS training; or a master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in LC-MS method development and quantitative bioanalysis in complex biological matrices.
• Experience with quantitative assays for therapeutics, target engagement, target modulation, target dynamics, or biomarker biology.
• Hands-on experience with proteomics workflows, peptide mapping, enzymatic digestion, protein-drug adduct identification, intact or subunit analysis, and quantitative protein or peptide assays.
• Experience with biological matrix processing, tissue homogenization, immunoaffinity capture, or other fit-for-purpose sample preparation techniques.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and data interpretation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated sample preparation platforms such as AssayMAP Bravo, Tecan, KingFisher, or related systems.
• Experience with high-flow, micro-flow, or nano-flow LC systems and triple quadrupole, Q-TOF, or Orbitrap mass spectrometers.
