2027 Spring Co-op Bioanalytics

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; onsite; relocation to the office and 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, for the full six-month co-op required

What you will do

• Design, develop, and fit-for-purpose qualify preclinical PK LC-MS assays for biologics and antibody oligonucleotide conjugates.
• Develop sample preparation methods, including protein precipitation, solid-phase extraction, immunoprecipitation, and enzymatic digestion.
• Develop LC-MS/MS and LC-HRMS methods for intact protein, middle-up, and bottom-up analysis.
• Characterize pharmacokinetic profiles and construct integrity in discovery and preclinical studies.
• Analyze samples and report bioanalytical and biomarker results in the context of drug development.
• Contribute to scientific discussions and collaborate with allied functions on first-in-human dose predictions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD in biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related health science, with expected graduation by December 2028.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship required; CPT, OPT, and STEM OPT generally do not qualify unless an alternative long-term status is available.
• Enrollment at an accredited college or university throughout the co-op and ability to relocate to Cambridge and work onsite full time.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and their role in drug development.
• Expertise in at least one mass spectrometry platform and protein analysis using Thermo, Waters, or Sciex systems.
• Experience with protein extraction from biological matrices and knowledge of proteomics tools, protein database queries, and sequence analysis.
