Bank Reconciliation Analyst (Mortgage Servicing)

Location: Remote within the USA; Fort Mill, South Carolina

Salary: $21.24–$28.31 per hour

What you will do

• Reconcile assigned GSE, asset bank, and loan accounts in line with departmental policies.
• Balance daily cashbooks and identify remittance differences between servicing systems and reports.
• Validate bank statement activity against loan servicing systems and GSE reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and business units to align processes with internal and external guidelines.
• Support internal, external, investor, regulatory, and state audit requests.
• Generate error logs, escalate process breaks, review payment applications, and support updates to policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• At least 2 years of related experience, including investor accounting and/or reporting.
• Ability to interpret technical procedures, government regulations, written instructions, and schedules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence, present information, and resolve issues with internal and external contacts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a team environment.
