Senior Cost Analyst (Defense)

Location: On-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with regular travel to Kirtland Air Force Base and occasional travel to other government and contractor facilities.

What you will do

• Define scope, requirements, configurations, and technical, cost, and schedule risks for military nuclear delivery systems.
• Develop and deliver cost estimates for nuclear delivery defense acquisition projects.
• Analyze Integrated Master Schedules and monitor cost and schedule performance during mission execution.
• Create estimates using ACEIT software and apply stochastic modeling and statistical analysis.
• Generate confidence-level substantiation and convey analytical results to Department of the Air Force decision makers.
• Interface daily with government personnel and prime contractors.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of combined industry and government acquisition experience, including 5 years supporting Department of War space acquisition programs.
• Master’s degree in management, business, economics, finance, accounting, mathematics, science, technology, engineering, or statistics; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience with cost estimating, cost analysis, statistical analysis, work breakdown structures, risk analysis, and DoW acquisition policies.
• Working knowledge of project management, earned value management, project scheduling, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
• Secret security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong verbal, written, quantitative, and analytical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with nuclear delivery systems.
• Top Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of the DoW budget cycle and ACEIT.
