TL;DR
Sr Analyst, Cost Controls (SAP/Power BI): Tracking and controlling budgets, forecasts, CapEx, and OpEx for large-scale energy construction projects with an accent on variance analysis, financial controls, and SAP Investment Management and Funds Management. Focus on reconciling actual, commitment, and forecast data, supporting financial close, and improving cost-control reporting and processes.

Location: US, Louisville, Colorado

Salary: $87,000–$104,550 per year, plus annual bonus.

What you will do

  • Partner with project managers to publish and maintain project budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor CapEx and OpEx against approved budgets and perform monthly variance analysis.
  • Support budget reallocations, budget increases, contingency drawdowns, and compliance with internal controls and approval thresholds.
  • Maintain and reconcile actual, commitment, and forecast data in SAP using project CBS/WBS structures.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including accruals and reporting.
  • Improve cost-control processes, reporting accuracy, Power BI dashboards, and SAP tools in collaboration with Accounting and Accounts Payable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, cost control, or business intelligence, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Proficiency in SAP or a similarly complex ERP system; SAP Investment Management and SAP Funds Management are preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in Louisville, Colorado, United States.
