Compliance Officer, Washington (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote within Washington state; residence in Washington is required, with travel throughout the state as needed.

Salary: $188,900–$359,800 per year

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with Washington and federal health insurance regulations, state contracts, and business-entity requirements.
• Maintain regulatory, contract, amendment, and compliance documentation.
• Develop policies, procedures, and processes aligned with applicable laws, regulations, contracts, and standards.
• Oversee compliance programs, including fraud and abuse prevention and HIPAA compliance.
• Conduct compliance audits, create corrective action plans, and report progress to senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Advise departments and management on regulatory changes, legislative issues, contract language, and compliance implementation.

Requirements

• Must reside in Washington state and be willing to travel throughout the state as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Government Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of compliance program management and contract experience.
• Extensive knowledge of state administrative codes, insurance regulations, and managed care regulations.
• Experience working with state and federal agencies, accreditation bodies, provider agreements, HIPAA, TPA laws, credentialing regulations, and prompt pay laws.
• Master’s degree or law degree is preferred.
