CNC Milling Machinist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision insulation components for large power generators.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, G-code, and M-code programs; select tooling and establish machine offsets.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling during production to optimize quality, efficiency, and material utilization.
• Inspect finished components with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Investigate and document non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and reduce rework and scrap.
• Perform preventive maintenance, maintain a clean 5S work environment, and follow safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training in machining technology.
• At least 2 years of hands-on CNC milling experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or a two-year degree in machine tool and technology.
• Experience with CNC machine setup, tooling selection, offset adjustments, and G-code and M-code programs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
