Development Specialist

Location: Hybrid schedule based at the Territory Office in New York, NY; periodic travel is required to support events and business needs.

Salary: $73,500–$83,500 per year.

What you will do

• Exceed financial and stewardship targets established by regional leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, and sponsors through personal visits, correspondence, and digital communication.
• Lead regional fundraising initiatives, including peer-to-peer events, radiothons, school events, fitness events, and multicultural programs.
• Coordinate event logistics, vendor contacts, volunteer engagement, recordkeeping, and on-site participation.
• Research sponsorship prospects, prepare proposals, pitch partnerships, and close sponsorship and recruitment opportunities.
• Develop marketing and recruitment strategies, monitor market trends, prepare reports and forecasts, and contribute to budgeting.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience creating social media content, engaging audiences, and using digital channels for communication and business objectives.
• Analytical, organizational, interpersonal, communication, public relations, and public speaking skills.
• Experience interacting face-to-face with event volunteers and sponsors.
• Valid driver's license required.
