Mid-Level Legal Counsel | Civil Litigation & Advisory (Fintech)

What you will do

• Provide legal advice on civil and corporate law matters to business teams.
• Manage the civil litigation portfolio, including cases, deadlines, risks, and financial or business impacts.
• Coordinate external law firms and align legal strategies, priorities, deadlines, and expected outcomes.
• Prepare litigation reports covering relevant cases, risks, trends, and developments.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to assess legal risks and develop practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Monitor civil law developments and improve Legal processes, controls, and routines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and active Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) registration.
• Solid experience with Corporate Civil Law and civil litigation management.
• Generalist legal background with experience in the in-house Legal department of large companies.
• Experience interacting with external law firms and managing legal matters from analysis through resolution.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Fluent English and the ability to work in a global environment.

• Spanish proficiency or knowledge of additional languages.
• Experience at a leading or large law firm.
• International professional or academic experience.
• Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or similar industries.
