What you will do

• Manage operations for the designated patient service center and oversee the local phlebotomy program.
• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks, verify patient identities and test requisitions, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Maintain specimen integrity, collection records, quality-control logs, and biweekly KPI reporting.
• Resolve unusual or incomplete test orders with physicians, pathologists, nursing stations, reference laboratories, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage phlebotomy equipment, supplies, vendors, scheduling issues, draw statuses, customer feedback, and small escalations.
• Onboard, train, and retrain phlebotomists as needed to support patient-volume growth.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of phlebotomy experience and five or more years of high-level customer-care experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy certification is preferred except where required by state regulations.
• Experience managing or supervising phlebotomy operations and teams is preferred.
• Knowledge of general and mobile phlebotomy services, professional standards, healthcare policies, and federal, state, and local requirements.
• Strong communication skills, cross-functional collaboration ability, and willingness to use online program-management tools.
• If required by the state, a phlebotomy license must be submitted with the application. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of supplies may be required.

Nice to have

• BS or BA degree.
• Previous financial and budgetary experience.
• Bilingual language skills.
