Modernization Application Architect

What you will do

• Advise customers on application modernization, digital transformation, and technology alignment with business objectives.
• Assess requirements for new applications and upgrades, documenting use cases, process flows, and functional and nonfunctional specifications.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and guide customers through application migration, modernization, deployment, and packaged-solution selection.
• Collaborate with application architects, developers, vendors, and cross-functional specialists to plan design and implementation work.
• Address compatibility, hardware, operating system, data conversion, training, time, cost, and quality considerations.
• Help customers evaluate multiple application options and develop solutions for complex transformation challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in application development and deployment.
• 5+ years of experience in application migration and modernization.
• 5+ years of experience in application architecture, middleware, and data.
• Knowledge of BI, database principles, programming fundamentals, SQL, hardware and software, operating systems, and networking.
• Strong technical knowledge of Agile methods, service architecture, and enterprise cloud integration.
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• SaaS application implementation experience with platforms such as Oracle E-Business Suite, NetSuite, Infor, Unit 4, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, or Lawson.
• Experience with application modernization tools such as CAST.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps processes.
• Experience quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies.
