Senior Data Architect (Finance)

Location: Remote or in-person in Belgrade, Cluj-Napoca, Krakow, Larnaca, Lodz, Lublin, Monterrey, Montevideo, Rosario, Riga, Sofia, Varna, Warsaw, Wroclaw, or remote from Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, and Poland.

What you will do

• Communicate directly with business stakeholders and guide clients through complex data transformation initiatives.
• Define technical aspects for development teams and justify architectural decisions.
• Lead solution implementation from requirements gathering and goal definition through production go-live.
• Design and evaluate solution architectures covering data governance, data management, data structures, security, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in the full sales and pre-sales lifecycle and lead architecture assessment activities.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in data architecture, technology, consulting, or engineering leadership, or experience delivering 7–10+ projects, programs, or initiatives.
• Hands-on experience leading data and analytics projects and presenting solutions to senior stakeholders.
• Strong financial-services experience, especially in insurance or investment management.
• Strong foundations in data management, architecture, governance, engineering, analytics, DataOps, data modeling, data quality, metadata, warehouses, lakes, lakehouses, data mesh, data fabric, distributed systems, and ETL/ELT.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and other data and analytics tools.
• Proficient English, strong communication skills, sales and pre-sales experience, and flexibility for 3–7 business trips per year lasting 1–2 weeks.

Nice to have

• Consulting or professional-services experience, including sales engineering or pre-sales engineering.
• Consultative sales or sales engineering experience in data and analytics.
• Knowledge of finance-industry trends and experience developing value propositions for data and analytics solutions.
