Systems Engineer III (Electronic Warfare)

Location: On-site in McLean, Virginia, or Virginia Beach, Virginia; travel up to 20% within and outside the continental United States

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead complex systems engineering efforts from requirements analysis through full lifecycle execution.
• Review architectures, functional allocations, interfaces, system processing, and performance for Navy Combat Systems and Electronic Warfare systems.
• Evaluate design options and recommend solutions to Combat Systems and Electronic Warfare problems.
• Develop test plans, specifications, reports, procedures, and other planning documents for training software and system requirements.
• Manage DoD software projects from initiation through completion.
• Support Navy training-related test events involving systems such as ACTS, BFTT, FST, Aegis, SSDS, NAVSSI, GPNTS, and SLQ-32 variants.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer, Software, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering; Computer Science; Information Systems Management; or Systems Engineering.
• At least 10 years of professional systems engineering experience with Combat Systems or Electronic Warfare Systems.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required before starting.
• Experience with Navy Combat Systems, Electronic Warfare, Navy training systems, and training tool development.
• Experience with computer architecture, Red Hat Linux, VMware, RHEV, RTI DDS messaging, RTI-S HLA, and model-based systems engineering tools.
• Knowledge of IEEE standards and other engineering best practices.
