Freedom Boat Club - New Dock Master (Boating Operations)

Location: Clearwater, Florida; onsite work at a marina and on fixed or floating docks

Salary: $19/hour

What you will do

• Lead daily dock operations, prioritize work, delegate tasks, and maintain operational standards.
• Coordinate staffing recommendations, shift coverage, onboarding, training, coaching, and feedback for Dock Hands.
• Maintain vessel readiness, including cleanliness, fueling, equipment functionality, presentation, and minor maintenance.
• Manage facilities, docks, equipment, supplies, inventory, fuel tracking, checklists, and operational records.
• Resolve member concerns and service recovery situations, escalating complex issues to the Dock Experience Manager.
• Support safety, regulatory, company policy, and operational compliance in an active marina environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, background and education check, and drug screen.
• Effective communication and customer service skills with a positive, cooperative attitude.
• Ability to perform minor boat maintenance and use handheld tablets.
• Ability to bend, kneel, balance, and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds while following safety policies.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, outdoors and near or on the water.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or vocational degree, or 1–2 years of related operations experience.
• Experience leading or supervising a team.
• Boating Safety ID card and experience in and around boats.
• Strong attention to detail.
