What you will do

• Interpret and develop environmental policies, guidelines, procedures, and compliance programs.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for environmental equipment and systems.
• Investigate environmental problems, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor environmental legislation, regulatory developments, permits, reports, and regulatory impact assessments.
• Develop environmental manuals, training materials, and employee training programs.
• Represent the company with regulatory agencies, trade associations, industry groups, and government affairs stakeholders.

Requirements

• Professional Level 3 (P3).
• High school diploma or GED with 15 years of relevant environmental experience in a process industry, or a bachelor's degree in a health, environmental, safety, or engineering field with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Detailed knowledge of current and proposed environmental rules and regulations.
• Ability to communicate regulatory impacts and budget requirements to local leadership.
• Ability to review engineering designs and specifications for environmental compliance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industrial facilities and environmental regulations.
