Director, Automation Program Management

Location: Always Bentonville Home Office, 814 Respect Dr, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annual salary, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead store automation programs and the field reliability team across regional maintenance, reliability, supply chain support, and depot operations.
• Set strategic direction for enterprise-wide programs by analyzing business objectives, customer needs, risks, and success criteria.
• Lead cross-functional teams in prioritizing, scoping, evaluating, and implementing complex initiatives.
• Improve operational processes and implement best practices to increase automation system availability and performance.
• Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to communicate requirements and align execution with company goals.
• Develop talent through mentoring, workforce planning, succession strategies, coaching, and ethical leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Legal, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or a related area; alternatively, 7 years of relevant experience.
• 4 years of experience using intermediate Microsoft Office functionality.
• 4 years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing complex, enterprise-wide initiatives and using data and metrics to guide decisions.
• Strong strategic planning, communication, stakeholder management, talent development, and process improvement skills.
• Onsite work at the Bentonville, Arkansas home office is required.

Nice to have

• Experience developing training curricula or content.
• Experience managing large-scale change initiatives.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Retail consulting experience or Walmart experience in Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, or Finance, including strategy development.
