Global Manufacturing Technology Engineer - WBT (Automation)

Location: Hybrid role based in Tempe, Arizona, US; requires 30–40% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Serve as the global domain expert for assigned manufacturing technologies and develop technology roadmaps.
• Lead automation, advanced manufacturing, process capability, and manufacturing standardization initiatives.
• Support capital planning, equipment technology selection, and expenditure justification.
• Partner with Engineering on design for manufacturing, new product introduction industrialization, and manufacturing transfers.
• Lead footprint optimization, capacity expansion, and deployment of standard methodologies across global manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Product Engineering, and NPI teams to improve manufacturing performance and reduce defects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, operations engineering, automation, or technical project execution in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in electrical connection manufacturing technologies and/or knowledge of automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0.
• Experience with capacity planning, capital expenditure justification, project management, execution, and change leadership.
• Ability to influence Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, Planning, and Procurement teams across global sites.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 30–40%.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
• Experience with electrical connection products, hirify.global WBT products, wire forming, welding, machine press, or assembly technologies.
