Year-Long Technology Internship (FinTech)

Location: Chicago, Illinois — hybrid role based in the Chicago office; U.S. work authorization without sponsorship is required.

Salary: $21.68–$36.10 per hour

What you will do

• Support the development and maintenance of ultra-low-latency trading platforms, infrastructure, and reliability systems.
• Work as a Platform Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer intern on infrastructure- or development-focused projects.
• Design systems, conduct research, and build proof-of-concept solutions.
• Develop automation, CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and cloud migration solutions.
• Work with technologies including Google Cloud, Kubernetes, application development tools, and big data systems.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience writing code in Java and/or Python.
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employment sponsorship assistance.

Nice to have

• Previous technical experience.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux or PowerShell.
• Experience with Google Cloud, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with JavaScript, SQL, R, or Bash.
• Local Chicago availability for year-round in-office work.
