Summer 2027 Internship - DevOps Engineer (Hybrid) - 30230

Location: Hybrid, with an average of 1–2 days per week at the Columbia, Maryland office; U.S. citizenship required.

Salary: $22.00–$32.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain distributed computing systems and configuration management automation.
• Write Python and Bash scripts for automation and product feature development.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported application issues and provide technical support.
• Participate in quality assurance testing.
• Manage multiple issues and tickets while identifying execution and capability gaps.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance; clearance is not required on the first day.
• High school diploma or equivalent and active progress toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 60% of required credits completed.
• Experience with Python software development and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software, AWS or another cloud platform, and Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
• Comfort working from a Linux command line, with strong problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment and attend the Columbia, Maryland office 1–2 days per week on average.

Nice to have

• Current Secret-level security clearance.
